Evolution of Data Science

Do you think the evolution of Data Science has created thousands of jobs in India?

In the early years of the 1960s, a new profession known as ‘Data Science’ emerged to study vast amounts of data. Data that was combined and messed up at that time. This evolution took place as it used computer science and statistical methodology. To gain an accurate and deep understanding and useful calculations in a wide range of fields. Various industries, including astronomy, medicine, and business, utilized it to facilitate informed decision-making.

Initially rooted in statistics and statistical models, this field has evolved to encompass artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, and more. Different businesses stored an increased amount of data with the advent of the internet’s development. There was a huge amount of new information or Big Data.

This was a great insight to not only into business enterprises but also into other fields like Medicine, Engineering, Social sciences, etc. It was the result of the idea of combining applied statistics and computer science. It helped to enhance the process to collect the data and use it to solve real-world problems and to make reliable fact-driven predictions as well.

Data Science

The evolution of Data science took place slowly and gradually and it took around 6 decades to come to its current advanced shape. John W. Tukey’s seminal work, ‘The Future of Data Analysis,’ expanded the relationship between statistics and data analysis. The recognition of a centralized data warehouse for business transactions marked a significant development in this stage. The next stage of Data science was the research and collection of vast data by many businessmen. During the period a workshop was established and given the name Knowledge Discovery in Database. Which was later known as Data Mining.

During the next stage, This has become very popular as businesses started using this largely. The firms came to know about the importance and efficiency of data science and started making huge profits with its help of it. This was a new era of data science. Various academic journals acknowledged its significance, resulting in its peak popularity.

Many companies, businesses, and firms started using it for developing technology. The following stage marked a pivotal moment in the history of Data Science, as it gained widespread recognition, alerting the world to its potential. Finally, it has evolved to current position where there was a great hike in the production of different corporate firms.

There are certain courses that are eminent. One of them is Data Science. For years to come, Data Science will continue to be in demand. Numerous companies, such as Accenture, Adani Group, Amazon, Cognizant, Dell Technologies, Flipkart, Genpact, IBM, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro, have opened their doors to Data Science professionals. The average salary offered by the companies is between Rs 5,00,000- 26,00,000. You can log in to Teksacademy.com to join the courses.
